In the northern part of Rättvik municipality, just outside Furudal, lies the nature reserve Vindförbergs udde. It is a pebble ridge that runs out into Lake Oresjön and forms a long southern end. With its sparse old pine forest and fine views, it is a beautiful area to visit.
Rullstensåsen is part of the large Rättviksåsen. Where it extends through Lake Oresjön, Vindförberg's headland is formed, which rises 30 meters above the lake. In 1926, this place was set aside as a natural monument and since 1978 the 15-hectare headland is a nature reserve.
