Säbybergen is located about 6 kilometers east of central Arboga, along road E20. Turn off the road south at the sign Hjämaredocka. The parking lot is located along the Hjälmare canal about 700 meters from the exit from E20.

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.

It is forbidden to:

• make fires,
• dig, cut, carve, paint or otherwise damage the surface of the ground or fixed natural objects
• bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet
• ride a bicycle or horse on the terrain
• felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees and shrubs, and damaging vegetation or natural objects in general, for example by collecting herbs, grasses, mosses, fungi or lichens, with the exception of edible mushrooms and berries,
• collecting insects or other invertebrates
• trapping, killing or removing animals
• climbing nest trees, removing eggs or nests or otherwise deliberately disturbing wildlife
• using a radio or other sound device in a disruptive manner.

In addition, it is forbidden to without the permission of the County Administrative Board:

• put up a board, sign, poster, have marked trails or orientation checks that are up for more than five weeks,
• use the area for organized events with over 200 participants.
