Outside the rock outcrop there are nice rocky bottoms that attract grayling and whitefish to the area. The fishing is good both summer and winter. Try the kikpimpla during the spring-winter or why not a casting float with flies during the summer.

Remember that the Byske River estuary requires a fishing license and that there are extra rules along the coast to protect salmon, trout and grayling. For current rules follow the link under regulations.

By boat you can depart from any nearby harbor. Båtvik, Bredvik or Furuögrund. Want to try your luck in winter? Check the nearest snowmobile trail and avoid crossing the mouth of the Byske River.
