Beskrivelse
Kuokkavaara is a scenic piece of ancient forest landscape. It is a very hilly area which has been formed after one or more forest fires around the mid 19th century. Lake Kuokkajärvi lies at the centre and offers excellent fishing. The area is 1.5 square kilometres in size.

Kuokkavaara lies about 15 kilometres southwest of Övertorneå. Road 400 runs straight southwards from Övertorneå to the village of Niemis. From Niemis a road leads past lakes Armasjärvi and Puostijärvi, continuing as far as the reserve.

Regler
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- hiking - camping - making fires - picking berries and edible mushrooms - driving snowmobiles on snow-covered ground - fishing and hunting in accordance with the laws in force
It is not allowed to damage plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
