You can't stay any farther south on Öland. Here, at the southern tip of the island, you'll be staying in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The area is rich in both historical landmarks and outstanding natural experiences.
Parts of the hostel once served as the local village school. Today, you can stay in twin rooms or multi-bed rooms. The hostel is wheelchair accessible, with accommodation located on the ground floor. There are also two heated outdoor swimming pools on site. The surrounding area offers plenty of walking trails and hiking routes, perfect for exploring on foot or by bike. Bicycles are available to rent from the hostel.
Grönhögen Golf Course, considered one of Sweden's finest, is also nearby. With easy access to the Långe Jan lighthouse, Ottenby Bird Observatory, and Eketorp Fort, the hostel is an ideal base for an unforgettable holiday on Öland.
Advance booking is required between 1 January–20 March and 4 November–31 December.

By car From Ölandsbron, road 136 towards Ottenby, continue 2km past the exit to Ölands Södra Udde, just after Å's church, the hostel is on the right.
By train & bus Take the train to Kalmar. From Kalmar, Kalmar Länstrafik https://kalmarlanstrafik.se/ operates by bus to Ottenby with a change in Mörbylånga.
