Beskrivelse

In the summer of 1927, Åsenhöga Hembygdsförening was formed. Vicar Carl August Sjöstrand became the association's first chairman and Herman Modéen was appointed treasurer. The homestead cottage was moved shortly afterwards from Rödjan to its current location in the homestead park. The cottage probably dates from the first half of the 18th century, but was later extended.

A milestone was brought from Gunnilstorp and a permanent market stall, the so-called Bäckman's stall, from the old market place. A wire drawing mill was acquired from Hjulfhult in Källeryd.

These buildings form the core of the homestead.

In summer there is a waffle café. Keep an eye on the website for current dates.

Parkering

In the summer at the waffle café and summer concerts can be crowded in the parking lot, but then you can park up at the parish hall and walk the last bit.
