Gällarpesjön - Åkulla, Hallandsleden

This stage of the Hallandsleden trail goes through a very varied nature in a forest environment and along beautiful lakes such as Lilla and Stora Neten, in parts in a rather dramatic terrain. The average level above sea level is about 75 meters, you pass many places at an altitude of over 150 meters, it provides many great opportunities for magnificent views of the landscape. You will get a much-needed rest in the open-air farm at Åkulla. There is a large system of hiking trails around the open-air farm and in winter you can ski here, including on artificial snow. Åkulla is also a junction for the Hallandsleden trail and here stages from all weather conditions meet.

**Accommodation

Wind shelter at Gällarpesjön that can accommodate 4-5 adults and there is a fireplace and dry toilet. In Åkulla you will find two shelters, one out on the island in Lake Yasjön and one just near Åkulla Outdoor Resort, both of these shelters have a fireplace. Toilet, drinking water and firewood are available at Åkulla Outdoor Resort.
