Vandringsled runt Stadssjön

The municipal nature reserve Stadssjön is a green oasis in the urban parts of the Hovran area. Hedemora municipality is now investing heavily in making the reserve accessible. Along the hiking trail you can walk or roll straight through wetlands, experience rainforest-like deciduous swamp forest, and look out over the open meadows where cows graze. From the newly built viewing tower you can look out over the beautiful landscape. If you're lucky, the white-tailed eagle may glide by, or you may hear the rosefinch singing. During spring and fall, the reserve is visited by large numbers of resting birds.
