During early summer and autumn, fishing for perch and pike can be good close to shore and off both Bjässviken and Grytsundet. If the bait is not on shore, you can also go out by boat to both deep holes and shallows in the bay to find the fish for the day.

Remember that the Kågeälven estuary requires a fishing license and that there are extra rules along the coast to protect salmon, trout and grayling. For current rules follow the link under regulations.

By boat, you can depart from Kåge marina or Boviken. Want to try your luck in winter? Check the nearest snowmobile trail and avoid crossing the mouth of the Kåge River.
