Sverkerskapellet

Remains of a building that belonged to Alvastra monastery. The name comes from the fact that it was interpreted as a chapel when it was excavated. In fact, the building was part of a workshop area with parchment production, forging, etc. that belongs to the remains at Ålebäcken. Inside the building there are remains of a tank for soaking hides. On the southwest corner of the exterior, a rock carving ship can be seen in the foundation.
