Tolvsbostigen - Stora Rundan

Hike in Tolvsbo with large forests, lakes, streams and cultural monuments.

The hiking trail Tolvsbostigen - Stora rundan goes on cozy paths and old roads past Tolvsbo old cabin and Svarttjärn. At Svarttjärn there is a beautiful place to take a break.

Along the trail there are information boards with interesting plants and animals. The path was built in 1968 and the trail is marked with Tolvsbohyttan's mark (Tolvsbo stångjärn), an orange or yellow round mark with a square cross.

The first stretch is the easiest to walk, but some parts have soggy ground, so boots are recommended. When you have passed Svarttjärn and almost reached Tolvsbo again, the path turns off to the right, from Kalle Jakobs väg, and goes over a hygge and ends with a difficult steep slope. If you have difficulty walking in steep sections, it is better to walk the road (Kalle Jakobs väg) back to the village cottage.

The best place to start and end your hike is at Tolvsbo Bystuga where parking is available. Not stroller friendly.
