Varamobaden

The most famous swimming spot in Motala is Varamobaden, the Nordic region's longest lake bathing area with half a mile of sandy beach and 80 more hours of sunshine than in the rest of the country! With one of Sweden's finest sandy beaches, walking paths, cafés and restaurants, it's a place that has something for everyone. The shallow, clean water is sheltered in a bay, often has onshore winds and therefore heats up quickly. Varamon has access to tennis and miniature golf courses, beach volleyball and soccer courts, playgrounds, guest houses, holiday villages, hostels and camping. It is also ideal for windsurfing and kayaking.
