Etappmål Nyberget

Hostel with 2 rooms with a total of 8 beds and cooking facilities in separate and well-equipped kitchen area. Shower and toilet. Shelters are available at the swimming area and on a headland just north of the hostel. Fresh water next to the site. There are no bus connections to Nyberget. Taxis leave from Storå (about 1 mile).

Nyberget is a living village deep in the forest. The village's origins can certainly be linked to the cabin that was built very early in the stream between the lakes Dammsjön and Gränsjön. The smelter was closed down in 1809 and since then the village has lived on as part of the industrial activities with iron production and sawmills that were conducted in nearby Hammarbacken, and as a forestry workers' village.
