Beskrivelse
The church began to be built at the end of the 12th century with funds collected from the German ships that called at Visby. In 1225, the cathedral was consecrated in honor of the Virgin Mary and has been the cathedral of the diocese since 1572 and is now also the cathedral of the Church of Sweden abroad.
