Bondebacka hembygdsgård

Already in the 16th century there was a farm on Bondebacka which was owned by Vadstena monastery. At the end of the 17th century, the restaurateur in Motala got help in receiving travelers and releasing carriages when his own resources were not enough. From 1700 and almost 200 years onwards, Bondebacka was owned by the Östgöta regiment. The farm's land was used until 1968. The buildings have been owned by the municipality since 1961. The oldest are from the 18th century and the farm is used as an association farm. Several associations currently operate on the farm. Every year, Bondebackadagen is arranged where the associations have an open house
