Beskrivelse
A few kilometers north-west of Övertorneå lies the mountain Pahta-Pirttivaara. Here the forest has been left untouched and the trees have become old. Through the sparse pine forest on the hillsides you have a magnificent view of the Tornedalen landscape. There are no roads to the reserve, but it can be reached by a short walk from the nearby logging road. The area is 0.3 square kilometres.

Kommunikation
The reserve lacks suitable access roads. The easiest way is to take a logging road fom the south, via Maaherra just north of Övertorneå, and then walk the last part.

Regler
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camp
- make a fire, but remember to only burn dead branches and twigs
- pick berries and edible mushrooms
- driving snowmobiles on snow-covered ground
- hunt in accordance with applicable laws
Among other things, it is not allowed to harm plant and animal life. Remember the right of public access and protect nature!
