Hirvas

The Hirvas area consists of many small lakes, hilly terrain and a low mountain that offers fantastic views! Only 8 km from Koskullskulle you get a magnificent nature experience both winter and summer.

**How do I get there?

From Koskullskulle you drive towards Tjautjasjaure and after about 8 km there is a small turn-off to the right. It leads to a small gravel parking lot and turnaround at the foot of Hirvsåive. From the parking lot you can choose to either travel up the low mountain Hirvasåive, along an old service road, to enjoy fantastic views at the top. If you are more interested in the many lakes, the first one is just a few dozen meters from the parking lot.

Fishing licenses can be purchased from MKJF, available online at www.ifiske.se. or at Gällivare Turistcenter. Around the low mountain also grows a beautiful spruce forest and the hilly terrain creates exciting discoveries behind each crest. Don't miss this fantastic gem!

Difficulty level: easy/medium

Terrain: gravel road and forest path with partly steep climbs and rocky terrain.

Be careful with nature, take your trash with you when you leave the site!
