Laxön

As early as the 1860s, Laxön was a popular excursion spot. In the early 1900s, the temperance movement IOGT took over the business. The ambition was to offer guests good "educational" musical entertainment and entertainment in an organized manner. A modern dance hall with a dance floor was built. In the 1920s, competition from Tylösand and the newly established Folkparken intensified, but Laxön survived until 1938. In 2010, IOGT started up its activities on the island again. During the summer, you can now enjoy various types of events on the historic entertainment island.
