Beskrivelse
The nature reserve and rock carving area in Högsbyn, Tisselskog is probably most beautiful when the meadows are in full bloom during May - July.
This is when you get the combination of rock carvings and flowers. In winter, some of the rock carvings are covered to protect them. But it is nice to walk on the marked path anyway and enjoy the lake view. In summer, there are carvings on over 50 rocks to view. What did they from the Bronze Age really want to tell us?
At the reserve parking lot there is an accessible water toilet. There is also a gravel path from the parking lot down to the platform at Ormvindlingshällen. In addition to snake-like shapes, there are many other types of figures and signs carved on the hill. The path in the reserve is a circular loop of about 2 km. As it is uneven in places, it is not accessible with a pram. You have to stay close to Ormvindlingshällen. Otherwise the area is flat and easy to walk.
