Finnboda, nya bostäder

The transformation of Finnboda from a shipyard area to a residential area began in earnest in 1998, when Nacka municipality initiated planning work. The basis was a proposal from Nyréns Arkitektkontor, which won the architectural competition for the design of the area held by the property owner HSB. Much of the character of the shipyard area is being utilized in the transformation.

The first houses were built in 2006. Architect Dag Cavallius at Nyréns was primarily responsible for the plan's design program. In the park between the houses is a horse sculpture by sculptor Aline Magnusson (born 1939). She is known for her naturalistic sculptures of horses and other animals.
