Skagern

Skagerrak is a miniature of Lake Vänern with good water quality. More than 20 fish species are found in the lake. Salmon, trout, pikeperch and pike have good growth. Skagern is Sweden's 18th largest lake, a former bay of Lake Vänern with a depth of about 75 m. A blue pearl framed by forest and old farmland where the fine sandy soil has proved to be especially adapted to strawberry cultivation. The strawberry is the symbol of the area and the area is popularly known as "Strawberry Valley".
