Konstverk Ernfrid

Ernfrid Johansson at Vibro-Verken in Ljungby served as a model for a photo that Carl Meijer, a model carpenter at the company, used as a basis when creating a casting model. The statue was then cast in iron at Vibro-Verken in Ljungby. Shortly before the foundry’s closure in 1970, the statue symbolizes the use of the concrete vibrator, the first product launched by Vibro-Betong in 1934. When casting concrete structures, vibrations are used to evenly distribute the concrete mass in molds and around reinforcing bars. In addition to this statue in Ljungby, three other statues were distributed at the company’s headquarters in Stockholm, the factory in Karlskrona, and the factory in São Paulo, Brazil.
