The King's Stone between Grötvik and Sandhamn bears inscriptions of the three kings Oscar II, Gustaf VI Adolf and Carl XVI Gustaf. The inscriptions show that the three kings all visited the quarry on different occasions.

When Oscar II visited Söndrum in 1899 after a hunt in Fammarp, he was in a bad mood. At the People's House, a red flag was hoisted instead of the Union flag, as the king had expected. He declined the refreshments offered and showed no interest in the work in the quarry.

Also in Halmstad city center, in front of Halmstad Town Hall, there is a stone also known as the King's Stone. This stone is a work of art depicting the meeting between the Swedish King Gustav II Adolf and the Danish Christian IV. The work was created by Edvin Öhrström.
