The reserve is located in Värmlands län, Säffle municipality, about 2 km northeast of Långserud.Directions: From Karlstad take road E18 towards Årjäng. In Långserud, turn right towards Långserud church. Drive about 400 m and turn right towards Strand. Then drive just over 1 km, turn right just before Strands gård. Follow the road for about 1 km to a Y-junction. The nature reserve's parking lot is just after and to the right of this junction.

It is prohibited to:

• break branches, cut down or otherwise damage living or dead trees, standing and fallen trees, and bushes,
• driving vehicles, such as bicycles, tractors, snowmobiles and quad bikes.

Without the permission of the County Administrative Board, it is forbidden to:

• collect invertebrates, such as insects and mussels,
• collecting mosses, lichens and wood fungi
• making organized use of the area for commercial purposes,
• and for schools and institutions to regularly use the area for scientific or other research.
