Beskrivelse
Varied area with boulder fields, small bogs, spruce swamp forest and healthy woodland.
The Hästberget nature reserve consists of older mixed coniferous forest with pine-dominated blocky terrain and damp, more pine-dominated areas. Parts of the area are difficult to access because there are block depressions, dense stave sections and wetter areas such as spruce swamp forests, slope marshes and small bogs. In the wetter and denser parts, there are abundant hanging lichens.
The area is less than three kilometers from Hästbergssätern, and the trail from the lake runs just east of the reserve area. The area has a fire history and there are plenty of fire stumps.

Rutevejledning
The reserve is located in Värmlands län, Torsby municipality, 9 kilometers north of Sysslebäck. Directions from Sysslebäck: Drive north on road 62. Turn right towards Långbergets sporthotell. Continue for about 10 kilometers before turning right up towards Långbergets sporthotell. Follow the road past the sports hotel for about 2.6 kilometers and turn left after crossing Eggsjön. Follow the road for 3 kilometers. The reserve has no parking lot.
Regler
In addition to other statutory provisions, it is prohibited in the reserve to
- felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees or bushes, standing or fallen
- collect invertebrates, mosses, lichens and wood fungi,
- driving a motorized vehicle
- digging or pulling up vascular plants
- bringing dogs that are not on a leash.
Without the permission of the County Administrative Board it is also forbidden to:
- carry out organized competitive, educational or outdoor activities.
