Rudans naturreservat

Commuter train or bus 824, 836, 839, 840 or 841 to Handen. From here it is about a hundred meters walk. From the south entrance of the commuter train platform, you can enter the nature reserve directly via a pedestrian passage. The walkway has an elevator at both ends and from the platform. There is another pedestrian passage across the railroad further south. Parking is available east of the railway track at the southern end of Handens commuter train station. There is a smaller parking lot at Rudan's farm, which is accessed via Jordbro business park.

Regulations in Rudan Nature Reserve according to Chapter 7, Section 30 of the Environmental Code. It is prohibited to

1. destroy or damage rock, soil or stone by drilling, carving, digging, hacking, blasting, painting or similar.
2. break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead standing or fallen trees and bushes.
3. damage, pick or collect plants or plant parts. However, berries, edible mushrooms and flower picking for personal use are permitted.
4. disturbing wildlife (e.g. by climbing trees, catching or killing

mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians).

1. bring an unleashed dog or other pet (other than for hunting).
2. ride other than on designated roads and highways.
3. cycling outside paths and trails.
4. drive motorized vehicles other than on designated roads.
5. plant plant or animal species that are alien to Swedish nature in

land or water. The regulation does not apply within the open land (zone

D in the management plan) or within plot areas.

1. without a valid fishing license, or other permission from the fishing association,

catch fish.

1. posting posters other than on designated notice boards, putting up a board,

placards, signs or inscriptions.

1. light fires other than in designated fireplaces.
2. camping in the meadow at Rudan's farm or the frisbee golf course.

The regulations shall not prevent activities in the theater barn or sports and outdoor activities that are ongoing (in 2012) provided that these are compatible with the purposes of the nature reserve. For competitions and other major events with more than 100 participants, the organizer must consult Haninge municipality in good time.

Forestry is prohibited, but nature conservation management in accordance with the nature reserve's management plan is designated for specific sub-areas.

**Other provisions for the protection of the natural environment also apply in the reserve, including the following:

• The off-road driving ban in the Off-Road Driving Act.
• Prohibition against littering** according to Chapter 15, Section 30 of the Environmental Code.
• All wild birds and mammals and their eggs, young and nests are protected under the Hunting Act. Certain other plant and animal species are protected under Chapter 8 of the Environmental Code and the Species Protection Ordinance.

The supervisory authority for Rudan Nature Reserve is the Södertörn Environmental and Health Protection Association. The landowner and manager of the nature reserve is Haninge municipality.
