Sniberups fälad, Naturreservat

Sniberup's field gives a picture of the stony and heather-covered land that dominated Linderödsåsen 100 years ago. Even today, many of the once common meadow and pasture plants remain. Among the juniper bushes and stones you can find sedge, thyme, maidenhair fern and haymaking. This unfertilized pasture is a sanctuary for plants that have been greatly reduced by modern fertilization, overgrowth or afforestation. In the wetter parts, you will find species such as green-white night violet, buttercups and hop flowers. Sniberup's meadow is grazed by animals and the area has no trails. Avoid dogs among grazing animals.

Rocky meadow field

Sniberup's field consists of boulder-rich juniper fields. The vegetation in the reserve is characterized by the fact that surface water is constantly flowing over the area, so-called over-silting. Areas that lack this supply become nutrient-poor and dry. Here, the vegetation is dominated by heather, narrow-leaved and hard grasses such as sedge, and herbs such as wood anemone, creeping thyme, maidenhair fern, haymaking and the orchids common night-flowering violet and St. Peter's lily.

Wet meadows with orchids

In parts of the reserve, the water runs completely on the surface. Here there are quite nutrient-demanding plants such as the orchids meadowsweet and green-white night violet, buttercups, yellow coltsfoot, hogweed, buttercup and hops, as well as the semi-grasses millet sedge and bristle rush. Spruce spurge also occurs in the reserve.

Outdoor life

Sniberup's meadow is grazed by animals and the area has no trails. Avoid dogs among grazing animals. Remember to take your garbage home.
