Beskrivelse
Northeast of Herrborum säteri you will find Uggelö nature reserve with seven islets, a couple of smaller islands, the cape Trännöhalsen and surrounding water. The reserve is of great value, especially for wildlife. The area's natural values are of a high class with old forest stands that house several red-listed and rare plant and animal species. There are plenty of old giant pines and dead wood in various stages of decay. Several of the islets bear traces of former grazing with large oaks and herb-rich flora. Noteworthy are the three wooden crosses on Korsholmsskären, which according to legend were erected after three archipelago inhabitants sank and died while sailing with gravel. The reserve was established as a result of Herrborum Count Magnus Stenbock's genuine interest in nature and nature conservation. You can reach the reserve by boat or kayak.
