Svalgölensbrantens naturreservat

Visit Svalgölenbrantens nature reserve and hike through the steep 150-year-old forest up to Källstugan, which was abandoned in the 1950s. Discover traces of the past and rare insects, fungi and lichens.

There is a parking lot with space for about ten cars. From the parking lot's information sign, follow the hiking trail that runs in a circular loop that is about 2.5 kilometers in total. The trail takes you up to the torplämningen Källstugan, over stone-paved cultural paths and old stone bridges. Picnic tables are available both at the parking lot and at Källstugan.

From the parking lot you can also reach the Åbobrantens nature reserve a few kilometers north. You can also take the opportunity to visit the adjacent Högstugan nature reserve or Trollgölen nature reserve.
