Beskrivelse
Stora Rör or Höga Rör is a large burial cairn from the Bronze Age. The cairn has been damaged and rearranged
by past treasure seekers and a large pit is visible in the middle, but it remains
an impressive monument.
Stora Rör is now surrounded
by woodland, but during the Bronze Age the landscape looked different. Back
then Småland was covered with predominantly deciduous forest and pine on poor
soil. You can see from the elevation curves on a map that this would have been
a typical vantage point.

Parkering
There is no organized parking at the site, but you can park your car on the grassy area between the road and the fence surrounding the cemetery.
