An exciting excursion destination with the snowmobile when the sun is shining during the spring winter. Try to pike the shallows around the island with a chance of catching both whitefish and grayling. Check the nearest snowmobile trail and keep in mind that there may be thin ice around estuaries and straits etc.

Remember that the Byske River estuary requires a fishing license and that there are extra rules along the coast to protect salmon, trout and grayling. For current rules follow the link under regulations.

By boat you can depart from any nearby harbor. Båtvik, Bredvik or Furuögrund. Want to try your luck in winter? Check the nearest snowmobile trail and avoid crossing the mouth of the Byske River.
