Bland mossor och lavar i Storskogen - Familjeaktivitet

Welcome to Storskogen, among large boulders, fallen tree trunks, and undulating carpets of moss. Today we’ll get to know the enchanting mosses and lichens of the coniferous forest! Which mosses cover the boulders, and which lichens can we find in a real forest? Borrow a magnifying glass and set out on a journey of discovery in a miniature world. Challenge each other to moss bingo and lichen missions! Feel free to bring a snack or a packed lunch; a campfire will be available. At 11 a.m., there will be a guided hike for adults and teens—read more below. Park in the large parking lot on Tistelvägen. You’ll find us by the fire pit 800 meters into the forest; follow the trail markers along Jällaleden. The trail leading in is rocky and uneven and isn’t suitable for strollers. The old-growth forest in Storskogen is one of Uppsala Municipality’s “hidden gems.”
