Beskrivelse

Distance 7 km one wayTime required: 2 hours one wayDifficulty level: 2. Moderate. Involves paddling on open water surfaces. Paddling along the shore is recommended. At Norra Ässundet there is a summer café and every summer many cyclists pass here on their trip around Hemfjärden. At Norra Ässundet it is possible to park and moor at the beach or jetty. You first paddle through Norra Ässundet and then come out on Mellanfjärden. The northern edge of Mellanfjärden has many bays and small islands and here are good chances to see many kinds of seabirds including sea eagles and ospreys. The nature is characterized by deciduous forest, rocky shores and reeds in the bays. Several of the small islands and headlands along the way offer nice places to have a snack. At Åstabadet, there are good parking facilities and access from both the sandy beach and the jetty. There is also a toilet at the bath.
