Köpmansmossens domänreservat, Naturreservat

Köpmansmossens is 142 hectares and consists of marsh to the west and forest to the east. From the edge of the forest you can get a magnificent view of the bog. In the nature reserve you can also watch birds or walk a short path of 150 meters into the reserve. But otherwise there are no marked trails or paths in Köpmanmossen, so here you can wander on your own. The northern part of the bog area is a bog with sparse forest and alternating dry and wet areas, so-called strands. To the south are two flat round wooded bogs with surrounding wet marshes.

The forest in the eastern part of the reserve, which also borders the bog in the southwest, consists of middle-aged and older mixed coniferous forest. It has previously been used for forestry. There is also rocky pine forest and mountains.

The bog is not affected by drainage and is popular with birds. In spring you can see lapwings, cranes, greenlegs and many other species. In the eastern part of the reserve there is also a well-known capercaillie playground.
