Kittelfjäll - Blerikstugan

The trailhead is on the opposite side of the road from the parking lot below the hotel in Kittelfjäll. The hike starts easily and soon you come to the bridge over Vojmån. Here there is the possibility of fine fishing if you buy a fishing license from Bergsjön's fishing conservation area. You continue through mountain spruce forest and soon come to some bogs. In the forest you can see species such as Torta, Linnea and Goldenrod - on the bogs Kärrspira, Svarthö and Sileshår. In the west you can see the mighty Borkafjället with its steep slopes down to Lake Borkasjön.

Now a fairly steep climb up to Vaellientjålhte awaits. Up here you can take a breather and you get a fantastic view of Rissjön and Risfjället. Feel free to sit and look out for both mountain buzzards, golden eagles and kestrels. You might even see a gyrfalcon. In Marsfjällen there are also other exciting species such as Arctic fox, bear and wolverine. Remember that you must not deliberately stay closer than 100 m from a bird of prey nest or den.

The rest of the hike, through birch forest and grass heaths, towards Blerikstugan is easy. Blerikstugan is an excellent place to stay overnight and for your own tours in the area. From Blerikstugan you can do hikes without trails to Marsfjällstoppen, Borkafjället and in the Risfjäll area.

Fishing is possible in Lake Rissjön if you buy a fishing license from the County Administrative Board.
