Description

Welcome to the Hammarberget nature reserve - a coastal, hilly area with beautiful and varied nature. The area's deciduous forests have remarkably high biodiversity. Spend a day here botanising among the plants and lichens or just stop and enjoy the floral splendour. At the wildflower pasture at Hammarängen, which extends north and west, you can wander among flowers and the grazing cows that keep the fields open. You'll find rare lichens and mosses here, including tree lungwort - a large, beautiful lichen that grows on old deciduous trees.

The Kustleden hiking trail passes the nature reserve and also connects to the Tyresta nature reserve.

The paths are unmarked in the reserve, so you'll get to find your own way. To get to the reserve entrance, walk a few kilometres from the boom gate at the parking lot by Vissvassvägen road.
