Description
This is the last day's walk for those of you who are pilgrims from the south. The trail runs along a low-traffic minor country road that offers a good view of both the plain, Lake Vättern and Omberg. In the vicinity of the road, there are several bathing spots and attractions such as the Örberga stone museum, Borghamn's cemetery, Verner von Heidenstam's Naddö and Iron Age relics such as the mighty oval judge's ring in Nässja and, above all, several old, well-preserved churches from the 12th century.
From Borghamn or Rogslösa, the Klosterleden goes past Örberga church where you can rest and then choose a shorter route towards Vadstena over St. Ullevi or walk the entire trail past Nässja church. Along the last kilometers towards town, you will find Birgittaquote placed along the path.
The goal of the pilgrimage is Vadstena and the monastery church. Don't forget to register as a pilgrim at Pilgrimscentrum. There, if you have walked at least 10 kilometers, you will receive a Birgitta letter.
