Ire, Nature reserve

Blekinge's best-preserved agricultural landscape can be found in Ire – a living museum far removed from large-scale and rationalized agriculture. In order to preserve this cultural-historical heritage, efforts similar to those carried out by the farmers of ancient times are required annually. At the end of the summer each year, the scythes are sharpened to become effective cultural and nature conservationists.
